i keep sleeping through my alarm clock (dont have cell phone and ipod rechargers missing)…?

I hear it ringing of course, but I always turn it off with my eyes closed or when I place it far away, I crawl to it, turn it off and just sleep on the ground without knowing (i know this because whenever I wake up, I find myself on the ground, hand still on the clock). I don’t have a cell phone so I can’t use that vibrating thingy and for some reason my ipod’s battery is empty and the rechargers are missing.
I always take a long time in the morning so I’m always late for school. Don’t say "then don’t do those make up and sh!t". But it’s not just make up. My hair is always frizzy so it’s a must for hairspray (even the doctor recommended it).

So what do I do? My parents are at a business trip in China so I can’t question them to wake me up and my huge sister is always in some Sunrise/nature club in her school so she wakes up at 5am and leaves the house in 5:45am.

I once read a article and it said teens need about 9-10 hrs of sleep and it is sooo right just sleeping less than this as a teen is considered sleep deprived. Sounds to me that it is and also I heard hitting the snoozer is a huge no no it’s really a terrible habit. So try sleepin more and eating different if you know you might be eating unhealthy carry around water stay away from diet pill, caffeine, drugs, alcohol and get daily activity skate, walk, run, play b-ball, tennis for 30 min. and it will make u zzzz sound asleep and quick!

Have your sister wake you up a few minutes before she leaves, and go to sleep earlier to make sure you get enough sleep. Take a shower right once you wake up, to stay awake, and eat something. I have a HUGE problem with this too. My mom always has to wake me up like, 3 or four times before I finally get up. Excellent luck! (:

Make sure you set your alarm volume very high.
When you press the off button, stand up and then go into the bathroom.
This is going to take some real discipline on your part.
I know how it feels when the alarm goes off and I want to go back to sleep too. This is one of those choices that is hard to follow through on. If you really want to get out of bed, you will make that choice. I don’t like it either. Excellent Luck

Check if your t.v. has an automatice turn on feature. most t.v’s have sleep buttons which turn off automatically and most new ones have the option to turn on automatically as well. Then just leave the t.v. volume on super high.

Go to bed earlier. Looks like you are going to bed too late. Count how many hours your body needs to feel restful and then start the new routine on a weekend. Stop caffeine (coffee, coke, chocolate)

The frizzy hair is Because your hair is dehydrated. If you treat it (highlights) stop for a while.

This will help you a lot. You will have time to get pretty for school. And you will be in a very nice mood.

I would suggest you place your alarm clock way across the room from you where you still can hear but can’t reach while lying down so it prevents you from turning it off and going back to sleep! If you reckon an Ipod or a Vibrating Phone would help, do what you got to do to get them working!

Do you have a friend or grand parent that could phone you in the morning? If not how about moving your alarm clock across the room so that you have to really get up and walk across the room to turn it of.. Then you have not choice.. You can also set your clock quick so that it is really getting you up earlier than you need to be to get up on time.. Hope this helps..

The time you wake up, and feel awake in the morning, is like pretty much all of our behaviors, a question of practice. If you need to quit smoking, for example, you "practice" not smoking until you get it right. Pretty soon "not smoking" becomes the new habit. This is what you have to do about getting up in the morning.

Go to bed a small earlier every evening for the next week. Set TWO or THREE alarms. (Have your sister hide one in a different place each night.) You should have at least 7.5 hours of sleep every night. Ten P.M. to five-thirty A.M. would be ideal but I realize ridiculous for someone of your age!

The greatest onus is on you. You must picture yourself getting up at a certain time. You must convince yourself that it is the best thing for you to do to get up and be alert at this time.

It’ll be hard for a week or two, but you’ll be surprised how quickly it becomes a habit, and how excellent you will feel about controlling your own behavior–with a small help from your friends.

I once had same problem. It took me forEVer to find solution. It will work, but you’ve got to decipline yourself.
Before going to bed, choose what you’ll wear the next day. Lay out everything, including jewelry, shoes and hair accessories, and stick with it.
Make sure you are in bed no later than 11 PM
Place alarm on other side of room.
This will work, IF you want it too.
